Saxophonist Tony Craddock, Jr. Radiates Hope in New Single “Sunrise (Remix)”
New single is trending on Spotify alongside current Billboard Smooth Jazz hits
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA, March 1, 2019 – Today marks one month since inspirational saxophonist Tony Craddock, Jr. released his new single “Sunrise (Remix),” which went for adds at smooth jazz radio on Feb. 4. The single topped Groove Jazz Music’s Most Added list the week of Feb. 4, and is currently trending on Spotify with nearly 60,000 streams since its release, where it’s featured on top playlists with current Billboard Smooth Jazz-charting singles.
Spotify added “Sunrise (Remix)” to their “Smooth Ride” editorial playlist, where it streams alongside current singles on the Billboard Smooth Jazz chart, including Boney James’ “Kicks” and Adam Hawley’s “Just Dance.” Thirty smooth jazz stations in the U.S. and U.K. have added “Sunrise (Remix)” since its release.
“Sunrise (Remix)” was written by Craddock, and produced by chart-topping jazz guitarist Ken Navarro and Craddock. The hope-filled single was inspired by the birth of Craddock’s one-year old daughter Natalie.
“Natalie’s birth ushered a new chapter into my life, like a sunrise marks a new day,” says Craddock. “Children see the best in the world, and now, that’s how I aspire the world: through Natalie’s eyes.”
The song is driven by Craddock’s passionate melody on alto sax, balanced by the warm and subtle soprano sax sprinkled throughout the song. Bright keyboards and tasteful synths shine throughout the song, making its sonic canvas of love and hope all the bolder.
“Sunrise (Remix)” is the follow up to Craddock’s 2018 single, “Living Water” (featuring Ken Navarro), which reached the RadioWave Smooth Jazz Top 40, Billboard Smooth Jazz New & Active list and aired on forty smooth jazz stations in the U.S., U.K. and Poland.
Tony Craddock, Jr.’s discovery of smooth jazz on The Weather Channel’s “Local on the 8s” at age eight led him to the saxophone and cultivated his love for weather, culminating with him earning a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Cornell University. Now, he uplifts listeners with music that connects inspirational messages with emotions people experience from the weather, reaching more than 40,000 monthly listeners through Spotify and other digital streaming platforms. Craddock has released three albums and resides in the Washington D.C. area with his wife Danielle and daughter Natalie.
